Business Situation & Requirements
The client was relying on a third-party intake and practice management platform that supported scheduling, communication, and invoicing but lacked the flexibility needed to manage patient data, medications, and appointments efficiently. Performance limitations further restricted scalability and negatively impacted both patient experience and operational workflows.
To overcome these challenges, the client aimed to build a custom practice management system tailored to their processes and compliant with HIPAA guidelines. They required a scalable, secure solution that could enhance patient engagement, streamline operations, and support subscription-based weight loss programs with ongoing doctor interaction.
Additionally, the client sought to develop a Progressive Web Application (PWA) to ensure cross-platform accessibility and enable patients to log and track daily activities throughout their weight loss journey. To bring this vision to life, they partnered with Unthinkable to design and develop a user-friendly, feature-rich platform that enables seamless collaboration between doctors and patients while supporting long-term business growth.
Key Requirements were to:
Conduct a detailed discovery phase to define the product roadmap, technical architecture, feature scope, and scalability strategy for the PWA-based practice management system.
Design, develop, and maintain a comprehensive Progressive Web Application tailored to the client’s operational workflows and subscription-based care model.
Build intuitive, role-based dashboards for doctors, staff, and patients to streamline appointments, communication, reporting, and care management.
Develop a unified system that enables patients to log daily activities, track medication intake, monitor weight progress, and attend video consultations.
Implement dynamic intake forms to capture patient health data and support the creation of personalized, data-driven weight loss plans.
Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and industry standards to safeguard patient information and maintain a secure platform.
