To improve profit margins and ensure long-term sustainability in the digital era, the client aimed to enhance the existing e-commerce platform with technical and functional advancements. However, the platform was built on outdated software architecture and hosted on an on-premise data center that lacked scalability.
The legacy technology stack was unable to support rising demand, while increasing maintenance costs, driven by firewalls, backup servers, and recurring infrastructure contract renewals, added to operational strain.
