Business Situation & Requirements
DENSO relied on a manual audit process to maintain quality across its global service dealer network of automobile parts. Audit logs were managed through spreadsheets, making the process time-consuming, error-prone, and difficult to track. It also required frequent on-site visits, leading to high operational costs and delays. Limited real-time visibility further slowed issue identification, while logistical constraints caused audits to be missed or postponed.
To bridge this gap, DENSO sought a technology-driven solution to streamline audits. The goal was to automate workflows, reduce manual effort, and enable real-time tracking. They required a centralized system to improve efficiency, ensure compliance, and support remote audits, making the process more scalable and reliable.

Solution
Unthinkable initiated the engagement by defining the platform architecture, refining requirements, and shaping the product vision and roadmap. The team selected a scalable stack using ReactJS, Node.js, and AWS to meet audit complexity and performance needs.
Custom workflows were designed to streamline the entire audit lifecycle, ensuring clarity and efficiency. The application supported four user roles: Main Admin, Country Admin, Team Member, and Service Dealer, enabling structured access, better coordination, and improved audit management across the network. Dedicated modules were developed for each user role to ensure streamlined workflows and efficient audit execution:

Main Admin and Country Admin
- Secure login with email, password, and 2FA authentication
- Manage users, roles, and dynamic role-based form fields
- Create and manage product categories and audit questionnaires
- Plan audits, track lifecycle, and view reports and analytics

Team member (TM)
- Conduct audits via F2F, remote, and self-audit modes
- Upload evidence, including videos, images, and recordings
- Update audit status and manage reports and re-audits
- Perform remote audits using integrated video conferencing

Denso Service Dealer (DNSD)
- Complete audits without requiring login access
- Participate in remote audits via video calls
- Perform self-audits and submit required evidence
- Use a simple interface for quick audit form completion

Setting up the AWS infrastructure
- Configure EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC for scalability
- Implement IAM roles, encryption, and network security controls
- Ensure secure storage and transfer of audit data
- Deploy and optimize the application for high performance on AWS
